Purchasing Media-Related Equipment

Here's what I would purchase for a media center if I had 1000 dollars to spend:

(I am assuming that the media center is brand new and has no technology other than two teacher computers, and 10-12 student stations)

Wireless 150N Portable 3G Router
189.99 + 5.99 shipping
This will allow the media center to handle wireless networking in the future. Also, students could bring their own laptops, itouches, etc.

Optima EP726S XGA 1024 x 768 Multimedia Projector
479.00
This projector could be used to display images, movies, and other presentations on a clear wall or whiteboard.

Canon Pixma MX870 Wireless Office All-In-One Printer
149.99

HP Office Jet 6000 Wireless Printer
119.99
One of these printers would be designated for teacher/ librarian use and the other for student use.

Total: 939.96
Shipping: 45.04
Grand totals: 985.00

I think the things I selected are the bare minimum that any school media center needs to get up and running. Future purchases would include a projector screen, laptop computers, ipods, playaways, kindles, and color ink for the printers.
